1. Clean the Original Mirror Cap
Remove dirt, wax, oil and detailing residue with isopropyl alcohol or a suitable surface cleaner, then allow the housing to dry completely.
2. Test-Fit Before Removing Adhesive Film
Place each carbon cover over the corresponding factory housing and confirm that the edges, tabs and mirror opening align correctly.
3. Remove the Adhesive Backing
Once alignment is confirmed, remove the protective film from the pre-applied 3M adhesive.
4. Engage the Positioning Tabs
Carefully seat the cover against the factory housing, allowing the integrated tabs to locate the piece around the mirror cap.
5. Press for 20–30 Seconds
Apply even pressure around the perimeter and center so the adhesive makes full contact with the original mirror housing.
6. Allow Adhesive to Cure
Keep the mirrors dry for at least 24 hours after installation to allow the adhesive bond to develop.
Auto-Fold Function Remains Available
The cover is shaped around the original mirror assembly and is designed not to interfere with normal folding and unfolding when correctly positioned.
TESGOD Currently Lists the Juniper Version Only
The latest source manufacturer has also added Model Y Standard 2026+ and Model YL 2026+ selections, but the current TESGOD product selector is specifically Model Y Juniper 2025–Present. Avoid getting the covers wet for at least 24 hours after installation so the adhesive can establish a stronger bond.
Can the covers be removed later? +
Yes. Gentle heat can be used to soften the automotive adhesive before carefully removing the overlay. Remaining adhesive should be cleaned with a trim-safe residue remover.
