1. Vehicle Accessory Socket

Use a compatible 12–24V cigarette-lighter / accessory socket.

For demanding continuous use, verify the vehicle socket, fuse and wiring can safely provide the required sustained current.

2. USB-C PD

Connect to a USB-C PD source rated at 100W+ with 20V / 5A support.

Standard phone chargers and lower-output power banks may not provide enough sustained power for reliable Starlink Mini use.

3. Direct DC Input

Connect to a compatible regulated DC source for a cleaner permanently wired or portable off-grid setup.

Current technical imagery recommends a 12–24V DC source capable of at least approximately 5A / 100W.

Yes. The output connector is designed for the Starlink Mini DC power port.

Does it work with Starlink Gen 2 or Gen 3? +

No. Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3 and Flat High Performance systems use different power requirements and/or connectors.

What are the three power-input options? +

Vehicle accessory / cigarette-lighter power, USB-C PD, and a compatible direct DC source.

Can I use an ordinary USB-C phone charger? +

Not unless it meets the required high-power USB-C PD profile. The current specification calls for 100W+ PD with 20V / 5A support.

Can I use a USB-C power bank? +

Yes, provided the power bank supports the required USB-C PD output profile and can sustain the load.

Will any 12V car socket power Starlink Mini? +

Not necessarily. The socket, fuse and vehicle wiring must support the required sustained current. Some low-rated accessory sockets may not reliably supply a 100W-class load.

Can I use it in a 24V truck or RV? +

The current manufacturer specification lists compatible 12–24V vehicle power input, provided the socket and electrical system can safely supply the required load.

Which cable length should I choose? +

Choose 6.5FT for compact setups, 10FT for most vehicle and portable-power setups, or 16.4FT when you need additional reach in an RV, van or rooftop installation.

Is the cable waterproof? +

The Starlink Mini DC connector includes a weather-resistant sealing gasket. No verified submersion-rated IP specification is published for the complete cable assembly.

Can I leave the connectors exposed in heavy rain? +

Keep the vehicle, USB-C and power-source connections protected from standing water even though the Starlink-side connector includes a weather-resistant seal.

Do I need a separate AC inverter? +

Not when using one of the compatible DC or USB-C PD power inputs. The cable is designed to avoid converting DC to AC and then back to DC for mobile Starlink Mini setups.

Is Starlink Mini included? +
