1. Confirm Vehicle Generation
Select the exact Model 3 or Model Y generation because mirror-shell geometry changes between vehicle versions.
2. Clean the Factory Mirror Shell
Remove wax, oil, dirt and moisture. Adhesive performance depends heavily on a clean, dry mounting surface.
3. Dry-Fit Both Sides
Keep the adhesive liner intact and position both caps over the original shells. Every perimeter edge should sit naturally without force or rocking.
4. Check Mirror Folding Clearance
Confirm the cap does not interfere with the mirror base, trim or folding movement before exposing the adhesive.
5. Peel & Align Carefully
Remove the protective backing and lower the cap into the same position confirmed during dry fitting.
6. Press the Full Perimeter
Apply even pressure around all bonded edges and allow the adhesive sufficient time to establish before washing the vehicle.
Model Y Juniper Is Not Included
The current source Model Y option stops at 2025.03 and does not identify Model Y Juniper. Juniper uses a different mirror cover product. Do not assume this cap fits Juniper simply because the vehicle is a Model Y.
2025 Model Y Boundary Vehicles
TESERY currently lists Model Y 2020–2025.03, while the TESGOD selector currently says 2020–2024. For a 2025 pre-Juniper vehicle, compare the original mirror-shell shape before installation and confirm fitment if uncertain.

Glossy has a reflective clear surface with stronger highlights. Matte produces a softer, lower-reflection carbon appearance. Both use the same general dry-carbon construction.
Do I need to remove the mirror glass? +
No. Installation takes place over the outside of the factory shell, so the mirror glass does not need to be removed.
Does installation require drilling? +
No. The current product uses an adhesive overlay installation.
Will the caps affect power-folding mirrors? +
They are designed to preserve normal mirror operation when the correct vehicle mold is installed and aligned correctly. Always test folding clearance during the dry-fit stage.
What if the cap does not sit flush during the dry fit? +
Stop before removing the adhesive liner. If the cap rocks, requires force, leaves a large uneven gap or interferes with folding, the mold may not match your mirror shell.
Can the covers be removed later? +
Yes, because the original shell remains underneath. Removal effort and possible adhesive residue depend on installation time, temperature, surface preparation and the condition of the factory finish.
How should I care for the carbon finish? +
Use a soft microfiber cloth and vehicle-safe cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and directing a high-pressure washer closely at the bonded perimeter.
