1. Confirm the Vehicle Generation

Do not select only by registration year. In particular, February 2025 legacy Model Y and March 2025 Juniper use different rear-body molds.

2. Dry-Fit Before Removing Tape

Place the spoiler on the closed trunk or liftgate with every adhesive liner still intact and verify the contour, centerline and both outer gaps.

3. Clean the Bonding Surface

Remove wax, oil, dust, moisture and detailing residue. Adhesive strength depends heavily on clean, dry paint.

4. Mark the Center & End Positions

Use removable painter's tape or other paint-safe reference marks so the spoiler stays centered once the adhesive backing is exposed.

5. Bond Progressively

Remove the 3M VHB liner gradually and work across the spoiler while maintaining alignment instead of pressing one end down first.

6. Apply Even Pressure & Let It Set

Press firmly along the complete bonded area and allow the adhesive to develop strength before washing the vehicle or placing heavy force on the spoiler.

3M VHB Adhesive Installation — No Drilling

The current product specification identifies 3M VHB double-sided tape as the mounting method. Drilling or permanent mechanical fasteners are not required.

Do Not Force a Spoiler That Does Not Naturally Match the Trunk

If the spoiler lifts significantly at the center or ends during dry fitting, stop installation and recheck the selected vehicle version. Excessive force should not be used to bend the wrong mold onto the vehicle.
